The Land of Mauritius Sugar

Mauritius boasts a distinctive and unique terroir at the heart of which sugar cane thrives and prospers. Sugar cane is central to its history, having been cultivated and produced across the island for nearly four centuries.

The Growers

We work seamlessly with our 10,500 planters to bring the highest value to our range of services, and are committed to maximise their revenue sustainably through our commercial strategies.

The Millers

Our millers, Alteo, Omnicane, and Terra are leading producers in the world. The mills are BRCGS (British Retail Consortium Global Standard) certified. This guarantees the standardisation of quality, safety and operational criteria and ensures that manufacturers fulfil their legal obligations and provide protection for the end consumer.

The Terroir

The Island Paradise welcomes growth with its maritime subtropical climate and distinctive geological features. Sugar cane plants are blessed with sunshine all year round, and thrive in the island’s deep, well-drained humid soils of volcanic origin.

Our Savoir Faire

As the custodians of a rich savoir-faire, transmitted across generations, the producers are masters in the art of crafting sumptuous sugar crystals of varying colours and sizes.
